How to uninstall Syncplify software products

Uninstalling any Syncplify software products is very easy.

In fact, here at Syncplify, we use Windows Installer to create our installation packages; such tool is highly integrated with the Windows operating system, and registers all installations in the Windows Installer database, so that when you want to uninstall any of our software products you just have to:

  1. Control Panel -> Programs and Features
  2. Locate the Syncplify software you wish to uninstall
  3. Click the Uninstall button
Everything below this point applies ONLY to Syncplify.me Server! and to no other Syncplify software product


The uninstaller will only uninstall the software, but it will not delete your configuration nor your Syncplify.me Server! instances and virtual servers, so if you choose to reinstall the software in the future, nothing gets lost.

If – instead – you wish to completely remove Syncplify.me Server!, including all configuration, users, virtual servers, and database… you will have to perform these additional steps BEFORE the 3-step procedure explained above:

  • Connect to the SuperAdmin interface (or run the Instance Controller if you’re still using an old version 3)
  • Delete all virtual servers
  • Once all virtual servers are deleted you can proceed with points #1, #2 and #3 above

Maintenance release: Syncplify.me Notepad! v1.0.14.54

We have just released a maintenance update for our Syncplify.me Notepad! This new version fixes a couple small glitches that were reported by some of our users:

  • if already running, the application is not correctly restored and brought to front when an associated file type is double-clicked
  • the “.txt” file extension is now correctly appended to the file name when no extension is specified by the user during a “save” or “save as” operation

New release: Syncplify.me Notepad! PORTABLE EDITION

We received many requests from our users for a portable version of Syncplify.me Notepad! A single self-contained EXE that one can simply put on a USB stick and carry around without the need to install it on the target computer.

New OpenSSL bug: Syncplify customers are still 100% safe!

After only a couple months from the discovery of the “Heartbleed” bug that affected the popular open-source library OpenSSL, a new bug has been found that could potentially expose user’s data.

And once again, all Syncplify customers are 100% safe, because none of our product uses (or has ever used) any version of the OpenSSL library.

New release: Syncplify.me Notepad! v1.0.12.52

New release of our award-winning Notepad! today. Here’s what’s new in the latest version:

  • Improved ability to open “in-use” files (e.g. live web server log files and the like)
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Notepad! to memorize manual overrides to syntax coloring scheme by file type

New release: Syncplify.me Notepad! v1.0.11.51

We have just released a new version of our Syncplify.me Notepad! that implements a workaround to correctly load files when the OS fails to properly identify their encoding.

If you have experienced troubles loading some non-UTF8 files, you may want to update your Notepad! to this latest version.

New release: Notepad! v1.0.10.50

New minor release today for Syncplify.me Notepad! This version comes with the following new features:

  • Full support for Unicode text documents (load and save); meaning you can now edit documents that use different alphabets (cyrillic, chinese, …)
  • Persistent ribbon customization: if you customize the ribbon/toolbars, your changes will be kept after closing and reopening Notepad!
  • Option to deactivate the automatic creation of a blank document at startup
  • Two new hot-keys: Ctrl-W creates a new blank document, Ctrl-Q closes the currently active document
