Syncplify.me Server! v4.0.20 released

We have just released version 4.0.20 of our Syncplify.me Server! software. This version features the following improvements:

  • Fixed: quotas expressed in KB are now correctly evaluated in KB
  • Fixed: issue with detecting legacy MongoDB on Windows XP, Vista and Server 2003
  • Fixed: orphan socket handle upon failed PORT (active) transfer (which only affected the FTP protocol)

Syncplify.me Server! v4.0.12 released

We have just released version 4.0.12 of our Syncplify.me Server! software. This version features the following improvements:

  • Fixed a memory leak in the Log Server component
  • Fixed directory listing bug that affected Transit and CODA2 clients on Mac
  • Added option to activate/deactivate specific protocol servers (in the Node Bindings configuration)
  • Added option to delay rejection of anonymous logins (to make Windows Explorer happy)

Since this update fixes a memory leak, we strongly recommend every Syncplify.me Server! user to install it.

Syncplify.me Server! v4 Test: 200,000 files in 1 folder

Syncplify.me Server! version: 4.0.0+

We had customers reporting that Syncplify.me Server! v3 session threads may stall (and use up an entire CPU core) during directory listing if a single folder to be listed contains a large number of files, say north of 20,000.

First we tested our v3 to confirm the issue, then we tested many other FTP/SFTP servers, and found out that none of the tested competitors passed the test either. Some of them crashed around 10,000 files, the best ones crashed around 65,000.

Syncplify.me Server! v4: high speed and savvy RAM usage

This article refers to Syncplify.me Server! v4.0, which – at the time the article is being written – is still in beta, and is not yet available for purchase by customers. The purpose of this article is to inform our users about some important upcoming features.

The development team is running some final tests on the core engine of the upcoming Syncplify.me Server! v4, and we’re witnessing amazing results.

We have just released a maintenance update of our Syncplify.me Server! software. This new version features the following improvements:

  • Fixed a bug in the “FileCopy” function in the event-handling subsystem (scripting framework)
  • Fixed a potential memory leak in the SMLogServer.exe logging system service
